“RIA News” reports the death of a man who died in one of the lifts of Russia on the 9th of April. Residents of the condominium from Kulakova Street contacted militsiya office to report about the corpse of a dead man found in the lift pit. According to preliminary information a man used to be provide technical maintenance works of the lifts. That day a mechanic did his usual job. The cause of the death became his inadvertence. He fell into right into the pit and died at the scene. Militsiya officials don’t give the details on the case and their further actions.

   Today, our journalists are glad to announce that residents and visitors of the capital can finally appreciate the convenience of new escalators in the metro station «Exhibition Centre». Automatic system, specially designed for lifts with irregular passenger traffic, independently controls the movement of the tape. Its peculiarity lies in the sensors that capture the appearance of a person in front of the lift. Then the device sends a signal to the main gear and the light cursor. This mode reduces the risk of fall on the tape. Additionally it is important to note that the «smart» escalators are cost-effective to operate. According to the press service of city administration, experts have concluded that the lift consumes much less power per month after seeing the work of the new system. Also, the automatic system reduces the load to the engine, increasing its life time.
   «Lift Expert» notes: when the light cursor, mounted on the balustrade, shows the red square, this means that the escalator operates in the opposite direction to the passenger. If the person violates the operating rules of the new system, it is automatically will be locked and the lift will stop, reducing the risk of fall on the tape.

   As “Lift Press” reported, in the result of staff's inspection in Federal accreditation service, the violation of businessmen rights was found.
    Contrary to current legislation, the inspection was carried out by some managers instead of specialists from The Russian accreditation.
